Folsom

With the photo series Folsom, my approach was to lose myself in the crowd, looking for opportunities to show the authentic culture in practice rather than portraying only surface presentation—often shown within the Fair’s news reports.

I was looking for individuals outside the norm who were not dressed up but were taking part in sub/dom activity or other bystanders who became part of a situation differently. I focused on genuine interactions between people—both the supportive camaraderie and the erotic made public.
